Micha van de Weg (born in The Netherlands and currently living in Cologne, Germany) is a rock vocalist and songwriter. Micha has sung in various musicals and worked with many rock bands.
Among other things he currently is “Bono”, the lead singer, for the tribute band “U2 Experience” (http://www.u2-experience.de).

Micha had a musical upbringing and already started playing the violin at the age of 5. As a teenager he decided to take up singing through singing classes and as a lead singer in several bands.
After finishing his secondary school he studied at the Enschede (Netherlands) Conservatorium of Music and participated in various master classes.

Musicals:

He started his professional career in 1999 when he played his first leading role in the premiere of the musical „Goodbye Klein Amerika“ in Nordhorn, Germany. Followed by a leading role in the premiere of the musical „Crash“. In 2005 he made it to the finals in the Dutch television music show
„Una Voce Particolare“ where he performed "Why god, why?" from the musical "Miss Saigon". In the same year he started as a soloist in the Europe-tour of „Fire of Dance“ and after that he toured Europe as a soloist in „Die Nacht der Musicals“ for 3 years.

In 2012 and 2013 Micha sang as a soloist on a daily basis in several Shows in "Movie Park Germany": "Western Lightning", "Back to the Movies" and the halloween special "The Obsession".

Bands:

Early in his singing career he was the lead singer in a local band called "Two Faces" for 7 years. With whom he won several talent shows/contests. After working with various bands he started to
perform as "Bono" in several different U2 tribute projects: "The Electric Co", "Co-exist" and "Double U2". With whom he played across the Netherlands and also did some gigs in Belgium and Germany.

After his move to Germany he met new interesting musicians with whom he formed the metal/gothic band "Corax" (http://www.myspace.com/worldofcorax). In 2008 Corax won the talent show/contest "Leverkusener Talentwochen" after which Corax got signed by "RMA" and recorded several songs.
From 2010 Micha is “Bono” for the U2 tribute band "U2 Experience".

Workshops:

During his musical career Micha also held various workshops. In 2007 he gave a workshop “pop singing: singing, interpretation and performing” at the Music school in Borne, The Netherlands. In 2008
he held an open singing workshop at the Irish Dance School "Irish Thunder" in Ludwigsburg, Germany.
